Pain Relief & Recovery with Laser Treatment

At Bowesfield Hydrotherapy, our advanced Laser Therapy treatments are designed to accelerate healing, strengthen muscles and tissues, improve mobility, and quickly enhance your dog’s quality of life.

This non-invasive treatment uses deep-penetrating light to trigger photobiostimulation—a process that stimulates cellular activity, reduces inflammation through vasodilation and lymphatic drainage, and blocks pain signals to the brain. As a result, nerve sensitivity is reduced, pain is alleviated, and natural endorphin production is boosted, providing effective, drug-free pain relief.

Laser Therapy works by targeting tissues with light energy, stimulating the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which fuels the body’s natural healing processes. This supports faster recovery, improved circulation, and enhanced mobility, making it an excellent option for:

  • Post-surgical recovery

  • Chronic pain management

  • Arthritis and joint conditions

  • Soft tissue injuries

How Laser Therapy works

Laser therapy is an excellent complement to a holistic approach in treating and managing a variety of conditions, including wounds, infections (such as ear infections), arthritis, and more. It can help ease discomfort from chronic conditions like bladder disease, as well as improve quality of life for pets with life-limiting illnesses such as COPD.

This treatment can also accelerate healing after surgical procedures and lower the risk of complications—such as swelling or infection—provided that recommended post-operative care is followed at home (for example, preventing your pet from licking the surgical site).

Laser therapy works by delivering specific wavelengths, power levels, and frequencies of light that penetrate tissues to a depth tailored to your pet’s size. This process helps to stimulate circulation, reduce pain and swelling, and promote faster healing.

Laser therapy can be used alongside Hydrotherapy treatments to aid in the animals recovery with proven results.
